Special events and what’s on at Knott End Library in June 2018
Thursday 21st June 1:30pm – 3:30pm for three weeks ‘Poetry for Beginners’
Due to the success of ‘Write A Poem In An Afternoon’ in March, Lancashire Adult Learning will be hosting a three week course at the library, ‘Poetry for Beginners‘.
The course is free, but booking is essential. Please contact library to book a place.

Monday 4th June 10:00am-12:00pm The Family History group will be meeting at the library. New members welcome.
Friday 15th June 2:00pm – 3:00pm Creative Writing Group
If you enjoy all things literary and fancy writing yourself, then you should come along to this group, find out more and get involved!
Every Monday 10:00am-12:00pm Knit, Natter and Crochet at the library, whether you are new or more experienced in knitting, crochet or anything ‘crafty’, join our friendly group for a natter and a swap of ideas.
Every Monday 1:30pm-2:30pm (term time only) Free play and learn sessions, for pre-school children run by Wellbeing, Prevention and Early Help Services, (previously known as the Children Centre).
Saturday 1st June 10:00am – 12:00pm and Tuesday 5th June 4:00pm-5:00pm Local Councillor will be available if you have any issues or problems within the Wyre area.
Tuesday 19th June 10:00am-11:00am Alison May, Clerk to the Town Council will be here to help with any problems you may have concerning the local area.

Every Thursday 9:30am-11:30am. Are you interested in learning how to use a PC, Laptop or mobile devices? We now have a FREE beginner’s available on Thursday mornings from 9.30am-11.30am. Please contact the library for more details.
If you have any computer queries our volunteer is available to help. Please contact the library to reserve a half-hour slot.
Would you like help with writing letters, CV’s or application forms? Our volunteer is available to help. Contact the library to book a half-hour slot. Your session will be very informal and tailored to your needs.

Every Friday 10:30am-11:00am Baby and Toddler, Bounce and Rhyme sessions. Suitable for all pre-school children. A fun filled session with songs and music.
Wednesday 13th & 27th June 10:00am-12:00pm Young At Heart, social for all. Providing occasional speakers, entertainment and refreshments everyone welcome £2 per session. (Library service not available).
