Joe Boe Sings Live

We are delighted to announce that local singer and guitar player Joe Boe will once again perform at Poulton Library.  Joe will be proving that musical talent really does run in the family.  He will be singing a selection of Folk, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Country numbers along with songs for the Festive season. So please join us for what will be a very entertaining afternoon. All welcome and refreshments will be available.

Christmas with Harmony and Health

Come along and enjoy some festive songs with the Harmony and Health group. The group helps support people in isolation, who also may suffer from physical or mental disabilities.  As this will be a joyous occasion please feel free to join in! All welcome.

Practising Mindfulness

We welcome, Anne Parker, who regularly runs a monthly Mindfulness group here at Poulton Library.  In this talk Anne invites you to experience two Mindfulness practices.  Anne shall give some background to their origins and what you might experience as you undertake them.  This session is suitable for those who don’t know anything about the topic as well as those who know a little about Mindfulness but would welcome the chance to practice and be in a group setting. The session will include time for you to ask questions or comment so that it gives information but is also interactive.

You are more than welcome to join the monthly group if this talk whets your appetite!

Dancing to the Beat of the Tide

We welcome the return of local author and historian, Angela Norris, for a fun talk centred around her book ‘Dancing to the Beat of the Tide’. Growing up in Knott End and Over Wyre, Angela discusses the songs, fashion and Education of growing up in Wyre. She will be testing your knowledge of the music of the time too with a quiz! There will be an opportunity to purchase a copy of this and other books Angela has written including ‘Ferry Tales – Memories of Knott End to Fleetwood Ferry.

      So I believe, which is odd, because the list of upcoming events came from them! They must not have been aware exactly when the maintenance works were going to be carried out when they published the November activities.

        Poulton Library opened again at the end of November 2018
        The Library is definitely open now
