Weather and Tides on the Fylde Coast - RSS intro
Fleetwood, through to the razzmatazz and bright lights of Blackpool. The beauty being that each of these quite different places are absolutely close enough together to be easily enjoyable by everyone who either visits the Fylde Coast or who lives here. Not forgetting that from the spring of 2012 the brand new trams will be running along the coast from Squires Gate at the very southern end of
Blackpool sea front, right along the coast to Fleetwood in the north, with an equally impressive bus service delivering visitors to St Annes and Lytham in the absence of a similar tram service in the more southerly direction.
The area takes in three boroughs which sit side by side. Fylde covers the Lytham and St Annes area, Blackpool is a unitary area with its own council, and Wyre is a large and diverse borough which takes in Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Poulton on the coastal side of the River Wyre.
Anyone coming here to visit will find more than enough to keep them occupied for as long as they wish to stay, with a huge choice of accommodation all the way along the coast. If you are lucky enough to live on the Fylde Coast, all this is yours to enjoy all year round.
This website and the others in the range aim to share the best of both worlds – the attractions and delights which provide entertainment and fun, but also what happens here throughout the year, what’s happening in each of the local areas and what the community gets up to.
