See the town transformed into a winter wonderland again this year with the annual Poulton Christmas festival.
Poulton Christmas Festival 2019
The town will be transformed with a sprinkle of festive magic when its annual Christmas festival rolls into town.
Poulton’s Christmas Festivities begin on Friday 6 December.
Father Christmas arrives at the Railway Station at around 5pm. He travels to the Market Square where there will be stalls selling food and gifts, rides, music and a great atmosphere. Come along and enjoy!
- Festivities will run between 12noon and 7pm,
- The lighting of the nativity crib is at 4pm followed by the switch-on of Christmas tree lights.
- Santa arrives at 5.30pm, with attendees welcome to join him on stage for a singalong.
Roger Critchley, Chair of Poulton Partnership, said: “Friday, December 6 is a date for the diary – a special festive occasion to remember for all the family and we can’t wait to bring all the community together.
“We would like to thank our sponsors, including Chris Allen garages and The Blackpool Sixth Form College, for helping support our much-anticipated festival.”
Community togetherness will be a key theme of Poulton Christmas Festival 2019, with a specially set-up stage to also be the venue for pupils from local primary and secondary schools to perform songs throughout the day.
Based on the success of previous year’s Christmas Festivals, this year’s event promises to be another good one!
Poulton Christmas Festival
Poulton Christmas Festival is organised by Poulton Partnership.
The event stems way back in time, to when a church service was held at St Chad’s Church. To mark the season the Councillors gave the children a mince pie. Over the years it’s grown and become the popular event it is today.
If you enjoy the Christmas season and want to make your local festivities a time to remember, just get in touch and get involved!
